Salesforce Tips #9 - Subscribe to or Schedule Dashboards

Subscribe to or Schedule Dashboards

In this video, I will show you how to subscribe or schedule Dashboards in Salesforce. You can follow the steps with me, then adapt them to your needs and situation. Visit my website, you will find related videos on Reports and Dashboards.

Now, follow these simple steps on how to subscribe or schedule Dashboards in Salesforce.

Let's get started!

Here I have my Sales Dashboard:

I want to receive a copy of this dashboard. I already did the previous video on how to do this with Reports, and the steps are very similar.

For Dashboards, I can click here to subscribe:

Within settings, I added the frequency, if I want it daily, weekly, or monthly. The days for me, it'll be Fridays, the time I can put, for example, at 1:00 PM and receive the results when the dashboard is updated.

If I want to share this with other users, I need to make sure that my dashboard is saved in a shared folder. Currently, the dashboard, that I built, I can only access it, because it's in a private folder.

Therefore, if there are other users who want to access this dashboard, I will need to put it in a shared folder or create a folder that I will share with other users.

Again, I cover this topic in a separate video.

For subscription, I can click Save, and now I subscribe and scheduled my dashboard to receive it on Fridays at 1:00 PM on a weekly basis.
