In this post, I will show you how to add a chart to a Report in Salesforce. You can follow the steps, then adapt them to your needs and situation. On my website, you will find related videos on Reports and Dashboards.
Now, follow these simple steps to quickly create and share folders for Reports and Dashboards in Salesforce.
Let's get started!
I'm currently in a report, what I generated on all the opportunities that I called All Accounts.
I will go on the top right corner and click on Add Chart here:
A default chart is now inserted:
I will be able to edit the chart by clicking on the gear icon again, on the right, and select from the Display As.
I can add a chart title, show the values, and set how to group them.
Let’s see other options, in this case for the Donut display.
Here, I can show the value, show the percentages, combine small groups into Others, or if I don't want to show them, I can uncheck these.
I'll have much more other categories. Here I have a chart that's visually easier to understand than if I just scroll down the report and try to see what's in here.
Here is another example of a chart I can do using the default bar graph again.
Once I'm done, I click on the top right arrow and click Save from the list. This way, when I come back, my chart will remain in the report.
You've made it!
